New Body Art Frees Teen Girls To Tattle, Tease, Taunt, & Tell
Milford, MA—Making a fashion statement has never been so literal. Teen girls can now use temporary facial tattoos to let the world know what's on their minds, whether it's whimsical, topical, or deeply personal. The FaceGraces body art system uses the power of combinations with just 4 variables:
* color
* symbol
* facial location
* and orientation
to enable teens to "secretly" say things they always wanted to express publicly.
Girls can form full, articulate sentences, not simply single words or phrases. By applying a tattoo, they can say things like
* "I'm not afraid to think about love."
* "I need to talk about clothes."
* "You ought to stop smoking."
* "I'm able to figure out boys."
* and over 26,000 more.
Only girls "in the know" can decode what is being said. But, of course, it can be an icebreaker to anyone it intrigues.
Teen girls frustrated with the limitations of conventional temporary tattoos and body art in general can now express themselves with every changing mood or thought.
"I wanted to offer a language of emotion and intention that could be beautifully translated to a girl's face," says Dave Diotalevi, creator of FaceGraces. "Decoration is the sole purpose of other temporary body art. It's a one-dimensional, one-use accessory that has little depth. Giving girls a voice as well as a cosmetic was important to me. In fact, FaceGraces' slogan is: ‘Why not say something while being beautiful?'"
Girls can make statements about things that affect them daily like
* friends
* dating
* shopping
* school
* music
But, they can also air their deepest thoughts about
* spirituality
* sex
* sadness
* drugs
* family, and many more.
Balancing their eloquence is the esthetic care taken to make these tattoos small, soft silhouettes that highlight a girl's features. "These are beauty marks that attract, but never overwhelm," says Diotalevi, a nuclear physicist turned author and award-winning digital artist.
Easy-to-follow directions using colorful diagrams accompany the 180 tattoos in the instruction booklet. "This is as simple as it is fun. Anyone can use FaceGraces to its fullest in minutes," explains Diotalevi, who defined the 37 facial locations, 9 colors, 20 symbols, and 4 orientations which make the system function. "The second you look at it you get that ‘Why didn't I think of that?' feeling."
Girls aren't even limited to what has already been defined. A WILDCARD feature allows personal choices for one symbol and one facial location. This gives complete control over what they want to say.
FaceGraces is available at stores nationwide. At www.facegraces.com, girls can find answers to questions, full-color examples, and ways to enjoy the full power of the system.
